What is the fee for a Sizzler® Franchise?
The initial Franchise Fee is $35,000. Your subsequent fees will reduce depending on whether you sign an Area Development Agreement.
How much equity is normally required to be invested into each project?
The acceptable debt to equity ratio will be reviewed during the site approval process. However, a range of 20 to 25% equity investment is a common.
Do you offer a finance program?
No, but we maintain a portfolio of franchise lenders that will be made available to you.
What size specifications are required for a Sizzler® restaurant?
We recommend a facility of not less than 5,500 square feet and not more than 6,500 Square feet.
How long does my Franchise Agreement last?
Maximum 20-year term with renewal options.
What is the charge for the continuing services and royalty fee?
The ongoing royalty fee is 4% of gross sales and the Production & Marketing Fund contribution is .5% of gross sales. The required local advertising expenditure is 3% of gross sales.
Do I receive training from Sizzler ?
Yes. You must attend and successfully complete the Sizzler® management training program. The cost of this initial training is included in your initial franchise fee, excluding transportation, lodging and meals.
Do I receive assistance in opening my Sizzler® restaurant?
Yes. In addition to the manager training, opening teams will work with you in your restaurant at the time of opening.
Do I receive guidance on the purchase of foods and supplies?
Yes. We provide you with a list of qualified suppliers whose products meet our strict specifications and high quality standards at the lowest competitive prices.
What form of continuing operational guidance will I receive?
You will receive a Sizzler Operations Manual covering the many important facets of your restaurant operation. You will receive periodic visits by our Franchise Business Consultants who will offer useful advice and counsel on system elements such as:
-quality control
-service standards
-brand identity
-guest convenience
-advertising & marketing
-ongoing training
What about the sale of alcoholic beverages?
A liquor license for the sale of beer and wine beverages is an integral part of your operation. It will be necessary for you to apply for such a license.
How soon can I be in operation once I have been approved as a Sizzler® Franchisee?
When constructing a new restaurant building, the construction process can typically be completed in 90 to 180 days. If you are remodeling, you can expect the conversion process to take 60 to 120 days.
